Triple M's Hot Breakfast chief footy reporter Tom Browne says Collingwood defender Tom Langdon is expected to re-sign with the Pies.

TOM BROWNE'S NEWS:

Langdon is out of contract with the Pies despite an impressive season, playing 23 games and averaging 19.9 disposals a game in the back half.

It included being one of Collingwood's best in their grand final against West Coast, with 23 disposals and seven marks.

Browne says, despite the delay, Langdon will recommit alongside Darcy Moore - which leaves Collingwood unlikely to get Steven May.

"I think that Tom Langdon will re-sign with Collingwood imminently, as will Darcy Moore," he told Triple M's Hot Breakfast on Thursday morning.

"My mail at this stage, Darce, is that Collingwood are going to back the players they've got and probably won't get May.

"There's a bit to play out, but that's what I'm hearing."
