As a surprise Valentine's Day present for Eddie McGuire, Wil Anderson brought in one of his favourites.

Greeted with a warm hug, Tyson Goldsack dropped by the Triple M studios and told a classic yarn from the 2010 Collingwood premiership.

LISTEN TO THE CHAT HERE:

"Tyson has the place in history that his Mum was the last member of a family to bet on their son!" Eddie explained.

Goldsack notoriously holds a betting slip in the official Collingwood portrait after their premiership after his Mum backed him to kick the first goal - which, of course, he did.

"She had 5 bucks on it," Goldsack explained.

"She also had 5 bucks to win the Norm Smith, so she's not a great punter."

The AFL investigated the bet at the time but cleared both Goldsack and his mother for any wrongdoing.

Goldsack also explained to The Hot Breakfast the concept of AFLX - which Collingwood have been playing regularly since Christmas.

"It's fun. It's quick... Fast, exciting, high-scoring," he said.

"It doesn't really suit my playing ability!"

"Cause it's so quick you have to be so clean and hit those short targets because it's a smaller field."

Goldsack also suggested leaving a forward outside of the 40m arc in an effort to kick 10-point 'Zooper Goals' as a potential tactic.
