Alan Didak has delved into the origins of Collingwood’s infamous Rat Pack.

DIDAK EXPLAINS:

Didak, who’s playing in the EJ Whitten Legends Game next week, joined Triple M’s Rush Hour with Jars and Louie ahead of the annual clash.

He was quizzed on what it was like being in Collingwood’s Rat Pack, alongside Dane Swan, Ben Johnson, Heath Shaw and Chris Tarrant.

“Mate, we were just a group of fellas, without a name initially,” he told Triple M Adelaide.

“Every now and then, we got in trouble and towards the end of our career, we probably got in a bit more trouble!

“We didn’t mean to (get in trouble), but we did!”

He said he was happy for his old mate Heath Shaw, saying the move from Collingwood to GWS ended up working out for him.

“I think the best thing for Heater was leaving Victoria and going up to Sydney,” he explained.

“All the stuff he was doing in Melbourne and getting caught for. Up in Sydney, no one knows footy, so he gets away with it.”
