Triple M's Damian Barrett has told Triple M's Rush Hour with Jars and Louie that there's one club "very quietly going about" securing Chad Wingard for next year.
DAMO NAMES THE CLUB:
Wingard and Port Adelaide could be parting ways this off-season, with Barrett telling Jars and Louie he is "gettable" for the right price and has offers lined up in Victoria.
"There is an awareness of his movements, his movements being that he's open to conversation," he said.
He said there was one club in particular that he believed was leading the race, telling Jars and Louie about the Dogs’ position.
"They're very keen," he said.
"It's going to be good money. Money that his form, I reckon, in the past two years doesn't warrant, but money that his form prior to that does.
"There's a leap of faith component to it, but as we know, when players of his calibre are officially gettable, which I put him into that category now, he is officially gettable for the right price.
"When they reach that status, the money comes because the competition comes."
