Damian Barrett Says There's Been Conversations With A Melbourne-Based Club About Mitch McGovern

Damian Barrett has told Triple M's Rush Hour with Jars and Louie there has been a conversation with a Melbourne-based club about Mitch McGovern beyond this season.

BARRETT'S UPDATE:

Barrett joined Triple M Adelaide as the news about McGovern's future at Adelaide brewed, with increasing talk he will leave the Crows at the end of the season.

This comes despite signing a three-year contract extension just 12 months ago.

Barrett told Jars and Louie there has been a conversation with one Melbourne-based club this week, while another has expressed their interest.

"I'm of the view now, and have been for some time too, Louie and Jars, that he won't be at Adelaide next year," he said.

"Clearly he's not happy there, and look, the club and he and people around him can spin whatever they like, but you don't get to this stage of this season with this being talked about unless it's real."
