Erin Phillips has announced she has resigned with the Adelaide Crows for the third season of AFLW.

The season one AFLW league MVP joined Roo and Ditts on Triple M Adelaide and said, despite approaches from rival clubs, it was an easy decision to "stay home" and resign with the Crows.

Phillips stated that the lure of a second premiership with Crows was a massive sticking point when opting to resigning with the club.

"Really excited obviously," Phillips told Triple M.

"Happy to be staying home, happy at the Club, happy at the Crows.

"Would love to go the next step like we did a few years back, and we've got a group of girls to do that."

North Melbourne and Geelong will both enter the AFLW competition next season, with a further four clubs - Richmond, St Kilda, West Coast and Gold Coast - to enter the following season in 2020.
