Triple M's Paul Roos believes the one-week ban handed down to Tex Walker for his bump on Zach Tuohy was "extraordinary".

ROOS EXPLAINS:

Roos believed the length of the ban was based on the fact Tuohy was okay, calling it an inconsistent decision from match review officer Michael Christian on Triple M's Rush Hour with Jars and Louie.

"I thought it was extraordinary," he said.

“This is not a pot of him, it’s more the consistency around the MRO."

Roos said at least it cleared up how much the result of the incident, rather than the incident itself, plays a part on the length of the suspension, comparing the bans between Walker and Ryan Nyhuis.

“If you were ever in any doubt as to how much the result of the incident plays a part, as in the injury, we’re no longer in any doubt whatsoever," he said.

“At least we’ve cleared that up: if you’re going to hit someone, hit someone with a bloody hard melon."
