Rory Sloane has dismissed being linked to a Victorian club because his sister Shae signed for their AFLW equivalent yesterday.

Sloane's younger sister Shae will make her transition to footy after an impressive career in volleyball, where she captained the Volleyroos.

But Sloane dismissed the suggestion his sister's signing meant he would follow suit as a result.

“Isn’t that the worst reporting ever, if you think that’s true?" he said on Triple M's Rush Hour with Jars & Louie.

“She’s 26, she lives her own life. What do they think? We’re going to play football together, do they?”
