South Australian Cricket Association CEO Keith Bradshaw says India's decision not to play a day-night Test this summer is "disappointing".

LISTEN TO HIS REACTION:

India opted out of playing a day-night Test this summer at Adelaide Oval, with day-night Test rules stating both teams need to be in agreement for the fixture to take place.

Bradshaw wasn't a fan of the decision, saying his preference was always to play with the pink ball.

"(It's) disappointing from our perspective," he told Triple M's Rush Hour with Jars and Louie.

"Our preference, of course, was to have a day/night Test. It's been hugely successful for us over the last few years and I guess part of an initiative around the world to reinvigorate Test cricket and get people along.

"The fact that India are not going to play ball this year is disappointing...I don't buy that (day-night cricket is a disadvantage for them) at all."
