Port Adelaide are set to name a new captain for the 2019 season and beyond.

After six seasons as leader at Port Adelaide, Travis Boak has decided to step down from the captaincy to focus on the final few years of his playing career.

Hardnut onballer Ollie Wines is widely tipped to takeover the leadership role at Alberton, but speaking to Jars & Louie on Triple M Adelaide this afternoon, another former Power leader, Warren Tredrea named a left-field option as his preferred new captain.

Certainly an unexpected option from Tredders!
