Warren Tredrea has responded to criticism from now-Hawthorn player Chad Wingard, saying he stands by “exactly” what he said.

TREDREA RESPONDS:

Wingard hit back at commentary about his departure from Port Adelaide, saying the coverage in Adelaide was “a bunch of lies and a lack of misunderstanding” and that the trade was “mutual”.

It came after Tredrea told Triple M’s Rush Hour with Jars and Louie the leadership group were “sick of him (and) sick of his attitude”.

He re-joined the show on Thursday and was asked for a reply to Wingard’s comments.

“I stand by exactly what I said,” he told Triple M.

“Do you think Ken, or anyone in the football club, after a trade has gone through is going to tip the bucket?”
