Triple M's Chris Judd has raised some significant rule changes for the centre bounce in an effort to ease congestion.

LISTEN TO JUDDY EXPLAIN:

Judd is a fan of shortening the game, an idea previously proposed on Triple M by Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield.

But that wasn't the only tweak he wanted to implement, suggesting a crackdown on the players allowed in the centre bounce.

"That would change the way teams set up so much," he told Triple M's Rush Hour on Thursday.

"That would stop so much congestion around the ball, and you wouldn't be able to set up loose men in defence necessarily, because you don't know who's going to win it."
