Triple M's Jay Clark says another Hawk could follow in Jaeger O'Meara's footsteps and be withdrawn for their semi final against Melbourne due to injury.

CLARKY'S NEWS:

O'Meara was withdrawn from Hawthorn's side after copping a knock to the knee against Richmond, with the Hawks declaring he hadn't proved his fitness in time.

Clark reported on Triple M's Rush Hour the injury concerns for Hawthorn aren't just limited to O'Meara, with a defender in doubt.

"There's some doubts on Blake Hardwick, the hard nut defender," he said.

"He'd be another blow as well."

Hardwick was named in their 22 to take on Melbourne, having played 42 consecutive games.

"He hurt his hip in the third quarter last weekend, spent the bulk of the last quarter on the bench, looked really sore in the rooms.

"As I understand it, (he) hasn't done a lot this week, so he'll be a late fitness test."
