Damian Barrett has ruled Collingwood out of premiership contention after their spate of injuries.

Speaking on the Rush Hour with JB and Billy, Damo said that Pies simply can’t continue to cover for the injuries they’ve been suffering — particularly in the defensive end.

Damo also said he “felt for Darcy Moore” having to play on Jack Riewoldt on the weekend.

“There were times he looked a bit out of sorts, but you could see he’s gonna be a good player if he gets some support around him,” Damo said.

“But doing it on the back of being injured as long as he was this year and being as underdone from an AFL perspective as he is, it’s gonna be hard for him.”
