Triple M's Damian Barrett has responded at Luke Beveridge on Triple M's Rush Hour over Beveridge's criticism of his Sliding Doors piece last Friday.

LISTEN TO DAMO:

Beveridge hit out at Barrett for his Sliding Doors article on the AFL website last Friday, suggesting Barrett had inferred mental health was the reason Boyd was withdrawn from the Western Bulldogs side last weekend.

Barrett said there was no reference or inference to Boyd's mental health at any point, explaining that it was back and finger troubling him, and questioning Beveridge for bringing it up.

"Luke Beveridge has got every right to go as hard as he wants on me at any stage he wants," he said on the Mid-Week Rub on Triple M's Rush Hour.

"But what I would ask - and this is where this is wrong and unfortunate for Tom Boyd - is that in going down this path of point scoring on mental health is where Luke Beveridge has actually crossed the line.

"He's dragged his own player, Tom Boyd, into this situation, in leveraging his own dispute and dislike of me."
