Collingwood big man Mason Cox has explained the AFL discovery that led him to "give it a try."

Cox joined Triple M's Rush Hour with JB and Billy and explained it was a particular clip on YouTube that had him intrigued for the first time.

"We pretty much Googled AFL and that was the first thing that came up!” he laughed.

"That was the first thing I saw. I think it popped up on YouTube and just had a look and just had a bit of a laugh.

"I’ll give it a try, why not?"
