Triple M's Wayne Carey says Trent Cotchin and Tom Hawkins are currently the best players in the competition.

Duck was asked on Triple M's Rush Hour a series of questions about the top eight, All-Australian team, coach of the year and the best player.

When it came to the best player, he couldn't split two, naming Cotchin and Hawkins.

"(Hawkins') last 10 weeks have been incredible," he said.
