Triple M's Nathan Brown believes Collingwood shouldn't play Daniel Wells at all, saying it would "disrupt" what the Pies are trying to achieve.

Wells has played just 10 of a possible 25 games since arriving at Collingwood, with Brown joining the Mid-Week Rub and telling Triple M's Rush Hour his inability to get on the park makes playing him not worthwhile.

LISTEN TO BROWNY EXPLAIN:

“I don’t think so. I don’t think they need Daniel Wells," he explained.

"I don’t think he’s going to be part of the next premiership or the next finals series. I think they need to start blooding the younger players.”

Brown questioned what it would achieve for Collingwood to have a high quality player who misses more games than he plays.

"You can’t rely on Daniel Wells to play week in, week out," he said.

"When he is in the team, yes, he’s a very good quality player.

"I see him missing more footy than not. I think it disrupts what they are as a footy club."
