Coral Coastin' - Kalbarri

What happens on tour, goes on here

Coral Coastin' - Kalbarri

Lisa and Pete are having the time of their life on #AustraliasCoralCoast.

We're keeping a diary of just how much fun they're having. We live in an awesome state!!!

The Kalbarri Song

No words... just watch.

Day 1

After a magnificent drive from Perth that took in lots of scenery and arguably one of the finest jaffle sandwiches you are ever likely to try (thank you Jaffle Shack Geraldton), we hit beautiful Kalbarri and headed straight out on the Reefwalker Charters Tour.

It's a beautiful big boat that handled the ocean with ease.

We saw whales and dolphins up close, as well as watching surfers catch the next wave from the best of vantage points.

This is how many whales Pete saw.

We also got this view.

Afterwards we had dinner at The Edge restaurant, part of The Edge resort. One word... SEAFOOD!!!!

Day 2

We got up nice and early and headed out with Davo from Kalbarri Adventure Tours.

What a character!

Of course, we started with the obligatory shot at Nature's Window. Lisa is the last person in her family to do it so bucket list, tick!

Davo then took us hiking down the gorge for an amazing experience, that culminated in canoeing down the mighty Murchison.

Our producer Kat showed kat like reflexes (oh yeah we did), and caught her phone just before it would have been lost, forever, to the Murchison.

Afterwards, Davo had us literally scale the gorge to get up to higher ground, which Lisa said afterwards she wouldn't have done had she known about the almighty climb, but was damn proud to have conquered it.

And how's this for some reverb.

What a great tour!

After a quick lunch at Angie's, we were off quad biking along the stunning coast line.

Kalbarri Wagoe Beach Quad Bike Tours has you experiencing some of the most rugged and beautiful coastline we've ever seen. It was absolutely breathtaking.

So much so that Pete had to do this.

Day 3

Two words. Sand and Boarding.

Just check out Lisa on what was one of her first runs.

Alex from Kalbarri Outback Action took us on an epic 4WD tour through some beautiful country, that had us end up in what felt like a desert, surrounded by massive sand dunes.

Of course - it ended down at Lucky Bay for some biscuits and cordial (of course), and a short drive back to town for our first show of the week... at the Rainbow Jungle Bird Park.
