Why Not Try Some Mini Golf?

We've tried it recently and there are so many awesome options around Perth now for you and the kids to get in a little mini golf. We tried out the course at Wembley Golf Course, and what was great about that one is that there's a much easier option on each hole for the kids, so it evens up the playing field somewhat.

Other great options for mini-golf include the great layout out at The Vines, the classic Botanical Golf at Wanneroo, and Masonmill Mini Golf up there in Carmel.

What's more, if the weather turns sour, there's always the indoor mini-golf course in Merriwa, FEATURING DINOSAURS!

The Simulation Centre

Well this looks like a bucket of fun! Located in Bibra Lake, there's a heap of things to do at The Simulation Centre, for both the kiddies AND the adults.

The beauty of this place is that there is literally something for everyone... there rock climbing and parkour for the more active, and a gamers den and various simulators for the gamers amongst you.

The IGA Perth Royal Show

Of course, third term school holidays are synonymous with the IGA Perth Royal Show, and this year, like every other year, there's something for everyone!

We sent The Big Breakfast's Matt Dyktynski down to the official showbag testing session and if this isn't enough to get you fired up about the show, then we don't know what will?

Good Old Movies!

There's a heap of flicks hitting the cinemas in time for the school holidays... here's just a taste.

Alpha

An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age, ALPHA tells a fascinating, visually stunning story that shines a light on the origins of man’s best friend. Alpha's out on September 27.

Small Foot

An animated adventure for all ages, with original music and an all-star cast, “Smallfoot” turns a myth upside down when a bright young yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist—a human.

Good Old Timezone

If Timezone is something you haven't done in a while, there is a lot to do with the kids that isn't just all about gaming.

What's more, it's fairly reasonably priced. Your child will get a decent amount of time to game for around $20 or so.

There are 5 Timezones located around Perth... Northbridge, Joondalup, Innaloo, Midland, Baldivis and Freo.

Shark Sleepover

It's back... AQWA is hosting a shark sleepover for kids aged 7 to 12... where your kids can sleep over under the aquarium and spend a night with the fishes...

The Best App For Parents

Take it from us... this app is a must if you grant your kids "screen time".

Family Zone not only allows you to block certain sites and apps from being used, but also allows you to restrict when your kids can and can not log on.

What's best about Family Zone, in our experience, is that they're hands on when it comes to problem solving. If you have an issue with the app, you'll speak to someone and they'll help solve it. A rarity in this day and age.
