Josh Caddy has spilled the beans on how Richmond teammate Jack Higgins' mid-game rev-ups actually come about.

Caddy joined Triple M's Saturday Rub fresh off Richmond's big 54-point win over St Kilda on Friday night, where the guys figured they had to ask about Higgins' speeches.

Higgins has gained some fame for taking over from Trent Cotchin and cracking the team right up with some ripping gags...

...But is he really dropping gags?

“There’s no plan behind it,” Caddy explained.

“The funny thing is he doesn’t actually tell a joke.”
