Triple M's Courageous Talk is a round-table discussion about mental health filmed for Triple M's No Talk Day. The discussion is aimed to be a support for anyone struggling with their mental health or seeing someone they care about who is.
Every day in Australia, six men die by suicide. It’s the leading cause of death for men aged 18-44. Sometimes men don’t talk about what is affecting them, which is why on Triple M’s No Talk Day, right across Australia, we’re not talking. We want you to have that important conversation with the people who matter to you. It might be the most important chat you ever have.
From 6:00am - 6:00pm on Monday 3 July, Triple M is encouraging listeners to take a brave step to start a potentially live saving conversation around mental health if they are struggling, or suspect someone they love or work with is.
Triple M will remove all regular programming – shows, news, traffic updates and ads across the day - on all 45 FM stattions around Australia. Replacing it with music and candid conversations from Triple M on air talent and some of the biggest names in rock, sport, and comedy about their challenges with mental health and the resources they have used to recognise the signs and work on overcoming feeling helpless and stuck.
