A Melee In The Geelong v Freo Game Spilled Into The Crowd

Bit of biff!

The Fremantle v Geelong game at Domain Stadium is another chapter in the rivalry between the two clubs.

The two sides have played out some classics over the years, including the Dockers jumping the Cats in a final in Geelong in 2013 and a David Mundy post-season miss that gave the Cats a two-point win late in 2014.

The two teams don’t like each other, and passions spilled over in a big way just short of half time in their game today.

A bit of push and shove between Tom Ruggles and Michael Walters ended up carrying on into the crowd.

The umps cooled it down by paying a free kick, but that only caused more confusion when they turned it over.

The result was yet more pushing and shoving before Stephen Hill put a stop to proceedings by dobbing a high quality goal from the boundary.
