Adelaide captain Taylor Walker can accept a one-match ban from the match review officer for engaging in rough conduct against Geelong defender Zach Tuohy on Thursday night.

Walker ran past the ball and bumped Tuohy in the head, forcing the former Blue to leave the ground for an extended period of time to be assessed.

Tuohy did eventually return to the field of play as the Cats lost to the Crows by 15 points at Adelaide Oval.

Walker’s teammate Bryce Gibbs avoided a suspension, however, for his hit on Geelong captain Joel Selwood. The former No.1 pick can accept a $2000 fine for engaging in rough conduct.

Meanwhile, Adelaide first-year player Lachlan Murphy was cleared of contact he made with Selwood.

Michael Christian said the impact was below the force required for a charge and the situation was dealt with at the time with a free kick paid for the tackle.
