Adelaide defender Luke Brown has been ruled out for 2-4 weeks following a fractured cheekbone.

Brown took a knock to the head in the Crows loss to Geelong and will not play against St Kilda this weekend.

“Unfortunately, Browny received a knee in the cheekbone in the Geelong match,” Adelaide's Matt Hass said.

“After investigation, it showed that there was a little crack in there that required surgery.

“The prognosis for Browny is that we expect him back shortly after the (Round 13) bye.”

In better news for Adelaide, Jake Lever escaped serious damage after rolling his ankle and will be fine to play.

Forward Mitch McGovern and wingman Paul Seedsman are now also available for selection.
