Adelaide list manager Justin Reid has spoken about several players involved in the Crows trade dealings today.

Reid discussed Geelong forward Steven Motlop, Essendon youngster Aaron Francis, Charlie Cameron and Jake Lever in an appearance on AFL Trade Radio.

Reid is adamant that Cameron — who has requested a trade to Brisbane — will be playing for the Crows next season.

“We had a quick chat with Brisbane to tell them obviously he’s a contracted player and a required player in 2018 at the Adelaide Football Club,” Reid said.

When pressed on whether they’d entertain any offers for Cameron, Reid doubled down.

“He’s a contracted player so we’re happy where Charlie is… we’re keen on Charlie to be at the Adelaide football club in 2018,” he said.

Reid confirmed the Crows are looking into Motlop.

“We’ll do our due diligence there (with Motlop), he said.

“That’s only kind of new, so we’ll just work through that in the coming days.”

Reid dismissed links with wantaway Essendon key position player Francis though.

“I wouldn’t have thought so (that Adelaide would go for Francis),” he said.

“I’ve heard that but we’ve had no dialogue there.”
