Adelaide's number 32 has a new owner: Darcy Fogarty.

The Crows have made the decision to award Fogarty, their top draft pick this year, with the prestigious number.

It was donned by Triple M's own Mark Ricciuto for a grand total of 321 games, including one Brownlow Medal, three best and fairests and eight All-Australian awards.

Following him in the number was Patrick Dangerfield, who wore it across seven seasons at the Crows, winning one best and fairest and three All-Australians.

Fogarty, from Glenelg, landed at the Crows with pick 12 - Adelaide's first pick - in this year's draft.

It is the latest number to be awarded at the Crows, with fellow recruits Bryce Gibbs and Sam Gibson receiving number 6 and number 29 respectively.

Reigning best and fairest Matt Crouch has moved from 44 to 5, Hugh Greenwood has moved from 20 to 1 and Myles Poholke has changed from 44 to 10.
