The first results of the AFL's annual fan survey have been revealed.

Supporters were asked the question: Which emerging young player is most likely to win a Brownlow Medal?

The competition was hot, but the fans were won over by the form of GWS young star Josh Kelly who has had a scintillating start to 2017.

The 22-year old won 28% of the vote - ahead of Melbourne's Clayton Oliver and Sydney's Isaac Heeney on 20% apiece.

Christian Petracca (11%) and Andrew McGrath (5%) rounded out the top 5.

Other questions have been revealed on the AFL website, including 'Which player would you most like at your club?' - which was won by Patrick Dangerfield.

Fans also believe that Dustin Martin and Nat Fyfe are most likely to stay at Richmond (65%) and Fremantle (59%) respectively in 2018.

The full survey results will be revealed in the AFL Record for Round 12.
