Melbourne midfielder Alex Neal-Bullen has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal.

The 21-year-old, who was out of contract at the end of the year, will remain with the Dees until the end of 2019.

He said he was "stoked" to stay with the Dees, and had no thoughts of returning home to native South Australia.

“It’s good to put the hard work in at the start of the year and I’m just starting to see the rewards now, which is good,” he told melbournefc.com.au on Sunday.

“I just feel like it’s all coming together. I’ve still got a lot to learn, but I feel like I’m heading in the right direction and the hard work throughout the year is starting to pay off.

“The contract is an added bonus as well and I’m excited for the next two years at the footy club. I can’t complain there at all.”

Neal-Bullen has impressed as a midfielder and up forward for the Demons this season, averaging 19 disposals and four tackles a game.

He leads the Dees for goal assists this season, alongside Christian Petracca, with 17 for the season.
