Ali Fahour has stepped down from his role as Diversity Manager after receiving a 14 week ban at the tribunal this evening.
AFL diversity manager Ali Fahour has been suspended for 14 matches from his local football league and will be deregistered.
The lengthy suspension automatically triggers a life ban for Fahour as he has exceeded the suspension threshold.
Fahour was playing for West Preston-Lakeside in the Northern Football League on Saturday when he rushed into a scuffle and punched Whittlesea defender Dale Saddington.
He already said he would plead guilty to the punch, which was caught on camera, before the league's tribunal convened on Wednesday.
