Angus Brayshaw's day has have ended early, with the Demon suffering a neck injury in the VFL.

Brayshaw was not spotted after quarter time in Casey's clash against Richmond on Saturday.

Channel 7 boundary rider Alicia Eva gave an update on the 21-year-old.

“He hasn’t taken part in this game since quarter time,” she said.

“(He) came off the ground with an innocuous neck injury. They were very keen to clarify it wasn’t a head injury, but he will take no further part in the game and wasn’t in the rooms at half time."

Brayshaw has missed a lot of the season with concussion, copping two head knocks in the early stages of the year in the VFL.

He returned in the VFL later in the year, before playing the last three games of the AFL season with Melbourne, averaging 21 disposals, seven marks and 303 metres gained.

The Demons trail the Tigers by 37 points at three quarter time.
