Richmond defender Bachar Houli is on report for an incident that left Carlton forward Jed Lamb knocked out.

Houli and Lamb were tussling on the wing when Houli swung his arm behind him, hitting Lamb, who went straight to ground.

Paul Roos described the incident.

"So Lamb was holding on to Bachar Houli from a stoppage, Houli was trying to run and Bachar Houli flung his arm back and hit him in the jaw," he said on Triple M.

Michael Roberts reported the incident from the boundary.

"He was out for a long while," he said.

"The doctors have got to him, he cannot stand up. He's being supported by both doctors as he makes his way to the bench.

"He's gone for the afternoon, I'd say. It took a long time for him to wake up.

"Young Lamb cannot even walk down the stairs (into the rooms)."

Nathan Brown suspected Houli might cop a suspension for it.

"You don't want to preface anything, but I don't think Bachar Houli's going to be playing for a number of weeks," he said.

"It's reckless, high, intentional."
