Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne has signed on for a 10th season at the club, according to the Fremantle Football Club.

They are reporting that Ballantyne has agreed to terms for a one-year contract extension, meaning he will play on in purple in season 2018.

Ballantyne had a tough year at the club in 2017. A significant hamstring injury suffered during a pre-season match against Carlton meant that the goal sneak missed the first 12 games of the regular season, and only just started to find form as the season ended for Fremantle.

With a full pre-season under his belt, he'll be looking to make more of an impact in season 2018.
