Collingwood key defender Ben Reid will miss at least another month after undergoing surgery on both of his knees.

The setback further compounds the Pies’ defensive issues, with lynchpin Lynden Dunn diagnosed with a ruptured ACL on Monday.

Collingwood expect that Reid to be back this season.

"He had a scrape on both knees under surgery Monday and we'd expect that will fix the problem," Pies head of football Geoff Walsh told the club's website.

"It's probably a four-week job before he can get back into contention for full training and selection."

It’s better news for Darcy Moore, who is in line to return in the VFL, and Levi Greenwood who is shot shot to return in the seniors from concussion.

We put together a tribute to retiring Hawks superstar Cyril Rioli.
