Hawthorn defender Ben Stratton will miss next week's semi final.

The Hawks confirmed on Friday Stratton suffered a low grade hamstring strain during last night's loss to Richmond.

The club has ruled him out of next week, but says he will be a test if the Hawks progress further.

“Unfortunately today the scans confirmed Ben has suffered a low-grade hamstring strain,” Hawthorn's director of high performance Andrew Russell said.

“Ben won’t take part in our match next week and will be a test beyond that, depending on how our finals campaign progresses.”
