Carlton has an injury concern with key back Alex Silvagni.

Silvagni appeared to hurt his left knee in a tackle five minutes into their clash with GWS.

He limped away from the tackle and was seen struggling in a fitness test before going down to the rooms.

Michael Roberts spotted him doing the test on the boundary.

"He's doing a fitness test," he said on Triple M.

"(His leg) buckled underneath him when he was doing the fitness test. They're having a massive discussion down here. The future doesn't look bright for him, I don't think."

Silvagni later went down to the rooms.

"Two physios and a doctor still doing it, and it looks sore," he said.

"He's going back down into the rooms. This is a problem."

He was spotted on the field at quarter time with heavy strapping around his left knee.

Silvagni has been important for the Blues since making his way into the side in round six, where he held Lance Franklin to just one goal.

He has played five games for the Blues this year after crossing from Fremantle, where he played 53 games.

The Blues lead the Giants 4.1 (25) to 2.6 (18) at quarter time.
