Billy Brownless And James Brayshaw Address Footy Show Bombshell

In a shock move, Triple M's Eddie McGuire looks set to make a return to The Footy Show for the first time since 2005.

Channel 9 will make a major announcement from the MCG at 4pm today.

It's believed Ed will host the iconic show - which he hosted in its inaugural season in 1994 - alongside mainstay Sam Newman and newcomer Rebecca Maddern.

The move is set to move Craig Hutchison off the show.

On Triple M's The Rush Hour, former Footy Show host James Brayshaw went as far to say: "It's happening."

"I don't think this has happened overnight," Billy Brownless said.

“I love Hutch, and you love Hutch too, but unfortunately the ratings haven’t been there.

“I haven’t officially been told but the rumours are out there. Where there is smoke there’s fire," Brownless said.
