Adelaide midfielder Brad Crouch will likely miss the rest of the season with a groin injury.
Crouch underwent groin surgery on Monday after persistent groin soreness, with Adelaide now believing he won't play again this year.
It means he will end 2018 without playing a game.
“The surgeon is happy with how the procedure went and Brad will now undergo a rehabilitation program,” Adelaide head of football Brett Burton said.
“While it is too early to put forward an exact recovery timeframe, it is unlikely Brad will play again this year.”
