St Kilda has added Brett Ratten to their coaching department.

Ratten will join the Saints after six years as an assistant coach under Alastair Clarkson at Hawthorn, and six years as senior coach of Carlton before that.

The Saints have not yet clarified what Ratten's position will be.

“Brett is one of the most experienced assistant coaches in the game and we look forward to the impact he can have on our football program,” St Kilda general manager of football Simon Lethlean said.

“He is highly regarded across the football industry and as midfield coach at the Hawks, was a key driver in their premiership success.

“We respect that Brett’s focus is rightfully still on his current role at Hawthorn, however, we look forward to welcoming him and his family to the Saints over the off-season."

The home and away season's done and dusted and the top eight's locked in! Damo and BT joined JB and Billy on Triple M's Rush Hour for a huge Mid-Week Rub.
