Carlton have kicked off trade week actively - securing the very first trade in AFLW history to get All-Australian Nicola Stevens from Collingwood.
And now they appear to be in the box seat to secure up-and-coming star Tayla Harris from Brisbane.
The Blues, however, will be forced to trade players to the Lions after trading away draft picks 5, 13 and 21 to secure Stevens.
The Age reporter Daniel Cherny reports that two players have already been named to get the deal done:
Harris shocked the Lions this week when she requested a trade to Victoria - having been a vital cog in the team's run at the 2017 AFLW Grand Final.
The tall-forward would accompany last season's leading goal kicker Darcy Vescio in a very potent forward line for 2018.
