Brian Taylor has praised Adelaide defender Jake Lever, saying the Crows "need to sure" him up.
Lever was excellent again as the Crows comfortably beat the Saints on Friday night.
However, his contract has come under some speculation, with the 21-year-old out of contract at the end of the season.
Bristle said on the Saturday Rub the Crows need to make sure they don't risk losing him.
"Young Jake Lever, in the back half, unsigned at the moment - they need to sure that up," he said.
"This is a good player. This is a guy that's going to play 200 games...he along with Daniel Talia and even Jake Kelly who's playing some real good footy as well, that's the nucleus of a very good backline if they can retain them all."
BT said every Victorian club should be keeping their eyes on him.
"If Melbourne clubs aren't looking at him...they should all be looking at him," he said.
"How could you go past a 21-year-old guy who's going to play 250 games?"
