Cameron Mooney has questioned the commitment of his former team mate Gary Ablett during today’s game between Gold Coast and GWS.

Mooney was critical of the man he won flags alongside in 2007 and 2009, suggesting he was choosing when to go for the footy.

“He started the game last week extremely slow as well, ended up with 28 possessions and had a pretty good game,” Mooney said on the TV broadcast of the game.

“The way he’s moving, he just doesn’t seem to be moving that well.

“He looks like at the moment as well that he just wants to get the easy ball.”

Ablett had little influence on the match, registering just the 16 touches for the match to go along with three clearances, five tackles, two inside 50s and 1.1.

By contrast, GWS skipper Callan Ward had 15 touches in the final quarter alone.

Ablett wasn’t the only player that struggled as the Suns got mercilessly spanked by GWS, conceding seven goals in the first quarter and 14 after half time on the way to a 24.16 (160) to 8.10 (58) loss.

The Suns play Hawthorn at Metricon Stadium next week, while GWS play North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena.
