Carlton Assign New AFLW Numbers

Carlton have announced new player numbers for their AFL Women’s team for the 2018 season.

Star recruits Nicola Stevens (from Collingwood) and Tayla Harris (Brisbane Lions) will wear No.21 and No.22 respectively.

Carlton’s top draft pick Georgia Gee will don No.19 while fellow draftees Bridie Kennedy (23), Reni Hicks (24) and Sophie Li (35) have also been assigned their numbers. 

Rookie elevations Maddison Gay and Kerryn Harrington have been handed No.8 and No.9 respectively.

The Blues' season kicks off on February 2 against Collingwood at Princes Park in what looms as a grudge match for Stevens.

Carlton will be looking to improve on their fourth-placed finish in the inaugural 2017 season.
