Carlton has made their first batch of list changes, with five players departing the club.

Kristian Jaksch, Liam Sumner and Andrew Gallucci have been informed their contracts will not be renewed, while Daniel Gorringe and Matthew Korcheck announced their retirements.

Sumner, however, may earn a lifeline, with the club inviting him to continue training on the chance he may be re-listed.

Carlton's head of football Andrew McKay thanked the five for their time at the Blues.

“I would like to thank Kristian, Liam and Andrew for their contribution over their time with us. All three players have shown growth and development during their time at the Club,” he told carltonfc.com.au.

“Matthew will return home to the United States, and we acknowledge his commitment to the Club over the last two years. We commend his dedication in moving from the other side of the world to try his hand at AFL football.

“Unfortunately, Daniel had a frustrating run with injuries over the past couple of seasons and we totally understand his decision to step away from football at the highest level.

“We wish all five players the very best for their future endeavours.”
