Young Carlton midfielder David Cuningham has been locked away on a new deal.
The two-year contract extension will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2019 season.
After making his debut late in 2016, the 20-year-old played eight games this season, earning a Rising Star nomination in round 12.
Carlton head of football Andrew McKay said the club was excited to have him stay.
“David has made great progress in his second year at Carlton and he’s an exciting prospect for the future of the club,” he told Carlton's website.
“He’s demonstrated a strong work ethic and is committed to developing in his midfield role.
“We’re delighted to see his career continue at the club for a further two years.”
He was drafted with pick 23 in the 2015 AFL draft.
