AFL stats gurus Champion Data say that Adelaide are the team most likely to finish first at the end of the home and away season.
The Crows are rated a 20% chance of winning the minor premiership, with West Coast and Richmond second favourites at 17% each.
Sydney are the next along the line, sitting at 14% chance to finish top.
It’s good news for Dees and Pies fans as well; Melbourne and Collingwood are considered almost certainties to make the finals.
GWS and Hawthorn are among the most surprising teams considered likely to miss the finals, with North Melbourne also considered unlikely to capitalise on their surprise early season form.
Unfortunately for Carlton fans, the strongest probability of all outcomes is the Blues finishing bottom — a wooden spoon the old dark navy blues is considered a 44% chance.
Gold Coast, St Kilda and Brisbane are considered most likely to join them in the bottom four.
