Christian Salem Reported After VFL Incident Against Northern Blues

Melbourne midfielder Christian Salem is facing a suspension after an incident in the Casey’s VFL game against Northern Blues today.

Salem was reported for a heavy bump on Carlton-listed player Liam Sumner in the second quarter that left the Blue with concussion.

Sumner played no further part in the game.

With Melbourne sitting outside the eight, it’s possible that a two week suspension will effectively end Salem’s season.

He still managed 31 touches and a goal in Casey’s 16.6 (102) to 8.17 (65) win.
