Collingwood defender Lynden Dunn has stepped up onto the club's AFLW coaching panel.

The club announced an all-new coaching panel for the 2018 season, with head coach Wayne Siekman retained.

Dunn, plus former Hawthorn and Carlton player Daniel Harford, development coach Chloe McMillan and former Dandenong Stingrays director of coaching Matthew Jones have all stepped up into assistant roles.

Dunn will joined Carlton's Dennis Armfield and Melbourne's Colin Garland as active players sharing roles as AFLW coaching staff.

Collingwood AFLW operations manager Mathew James said the club was delighted with their recruitment.

“Going into the second year of the program we’re eager to combine our lessons from the 2017 season with the mix of knowledge, skills and experience found in Chloe, Daniel, Lynden and Matt," he told Collingwood Media.

“Lynden quickly gained the respect of our AFLW players for his honest and professional approach while mentoring the team last season and with four teams under the one roof he’s exemplifying the side-by-side culture by working across both teams."
