Hawthorn stars Cyril Rioli and Paul Puopolo will both be sidelined for up to six weeks.

Rioli copped a knock to the knee halfway through the game against Melbourne, which saw him sidelined.

Scans have revealed a moderate grade medial injury, with the Hawks expecting him to miss five to six weeks.

“Cyril has a moderate grade medial injury,” Hawthorn director of high performance Andrew Russell said.

“It is on the same side as his PCL last year…but it’s not related at all.

“It looks like it’s probably in the five to six week range at this stage.”

Puopolo also has a moderate hamstring strain, with the Hawks tipping him to miss four to six weeks.

“He’s probably pulled up a fraction better than we thought he would have,” Russell said.

“He’s got a decent hamstring strain and he’s going to miss four to six weeks.”

The prognosis is better for Shaun Burgoyne, with the Hawks confident he could return from a hamstring strain as early as round six.

'Razor' Ray Chamberlain joined Triple M and was asked about his favourite players to umpire. He named two who were "peerless"!
