Triple M Footy’s Damian Barrett doesn’t believe “there’s any coming back” for the Western Bulldogs this season after their disastrous first two rounds.

The Dogs have lost their opening two games by 82 points and 51 points to GWS and West Coast respectively to sit on the bottom of the ladder.

Damo told Triple M’s Rush Hour on Tuesday that there are “really bad signs” at the Bulldogs while James Brayshaw has been most shocked by their lack of effort.

“It’s only 25 games ago, but it’s a lifetime ago,” Damo said of the Dogs’ 2016 flag.

“No one could have foreseen this. I don’t think there’s any coming back of any substance within this season.”

JB added: “The effort indicators for the Western Bulldogs are non-existent and when they won the flag that year, they won contested footy by 20 or 30 every week.

“That’s the thing that’s dropped off and I find it staggering that you could fall off in that particular category so far with what is essentially the same group.”
